Why We Exist
- Days that begin at 5 or 6 in the morning.
- Nights that don’t end until 7 or 8 pm.
- Tight margins. Immense pride in the food being made.
- Food leaving the restaurant without care.
- Handled by people who didn’t know the work behind it.
- Despite all that effort, catering — which could be a lifeline — accounted for only a small share of the business.
That never sat right with me!
A Differrent Kind Of Catering
I’ve been an entrepreneur my entire life.
And I’ve always carried a deep sensitivity to food insecurity, especially when it comes to children.
Knowing incredible food is made every day in our community — while families still struggle to put meals on the table — that disconnect stayed with me.
One day, while I was working at the restaurant, a young boy said something to his grandfather.
“There needs to be more human beings like John in the world.”
His grandfather came back in and told me.
Moments like that don’t ask for attention.
They ask you to keep going.
Built Quietly, Built Intentionally.
Catering with Purpose was built on a simple belief:
Businesses should reduce suffering — not ignore it.
So we do things differently.
- We partner exclusively with local independent restaurants.
- Deliver every order ourselves — warm, protected, and on time.
- Donate 10% of every order to local organizations addressing food insecurity here in Chester County.
Not occasionally – Every order.
This isn’t about convenience.
It’s about care.
Today, 1 in 10 people in Chester County faces food insecurity.
Our long-term goal is clear:
Move that number toward 1 in 50.
